I obtained my BSc in Biomedical science at King’s College London, and then went on to complete an MSc in Biomedical and molecular sciences research at King’s College London. Outside of this, I have also done a 6 month research project at the institute of pharmaceutical science investigating computation design and development of novel therapeutics against Flaviviruses.

I chose the MRC DTP to gain experience working with pharmaceutics and knowledge about cancer metastasis, learn about HIV-1 vaccine development strategies and techniques to isolate neutralizing antibodies from infected donors, and  investigate important host proteins hijacked by viruses for budding and learn super-resolution microscopy. The DTP allows you to acquire experience from a number of different fields and provides great networking opportunities.

Rotations:
Identifying novel therapeutics to target pancreatic cancer metastasis
Broadly neutralizing antibody responses against HIV
Mechanism  of  membrane  remodeling in  cell  biology  and  replication  of  HIV – 1  and  Ebola  virus
