In 2016 I graduated from King’s College London with a BSc in pharmacology. As a part of my degree I undertook an extra mural year at the George Washington University where I researched HERVs and restriction factors in the context of HIV and HTLV.
My PhD project attracted me to the scheme, however studying at King’s College London, a top university with excellent facilities, was definitely a bonus.
PhD Project:
Non-classical functions of CD1d, particularly its ability to regulate TLR signalling.
