I did my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in University of Coimbra, Portugal. During my Master’s, I had a full year of lab experience in an ovarian cancer related project. Later, I joined King’s College London as a research technician on the field of bariatric surgery and diabetes.
I chose DTP because it was the most complete PhD programme, offering a lot of different projects including several in the diabetes field. The DTP isn’t all about lab work but also having access to a range of seminars and information in diverse topics.
PhD project:
Manipulation of intestinal epithelial cell fate for the treatment of diabetes and obesity.
