I graduated from University College London and chose the MRC DTP at King’s College London because of the excellent and various training opportunities it offers. One of the things I liked most about the DTP was the ability to choose from a wide range of research projects and then to focus on one particular project for an entire four years.
Outside of the research experience I have from the DTP, I also have two years experience as an Honorary Research Assistant. I was a research assistant as an undergraduate student at the Institute of Psychiatry at KCL, and also as a postgraduate student as the Institute of Child Health, UCL and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. I have also been tutoring and working in a therapeutic setting with children with a wide range of neurodevelopment conditions.
PhD Project:
Development and use of source localisation/connectivity EEG analyses for biomarkers in ADHD
Investigating the association of aberrant connectivity within and between task positive and negative neural networks in ADHD across the lifespan compared to controls. Further, to investigate the stage of information processing that is deficient in ADHD, in particular separating out early sensory processing from later cortical control deficits.
