Pathway 0+3.5

Cohort 2018

0+3.5 Student

I did the 0+3.5 pathway and my project was ‘A novel method for improving sensorimotor recovery after spinal cord injury.’

I thought the MRC DTP programme was very well-structured. It supports students well and encourages academic growth. It is also a very prestigious and competitive programme to be a part of. I liked how the MRC-DTP offered a large number of workshops and gave students the flexibility to select and tailor their choices based on their research interests. This has really helped me to advance my knowledge.

I did an MSci (undergraduate and Masters combined) at King’s College London and graduated in 2016.

I have research experience from my Masters working in a lab investigating pain and analgesia. I also worked in a lab investigating the endocannabinoid system over two summer holidays (16 weeks in total) and was granted the Summer Vacation Studentship funding from the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at KCL for this work.
