In 2016, I graduated from KCL with an MSci in Integrative Pharmacology and Physiology. As part of my masters, I spent 6 months working at Envigo optimising animal models of respiratory diseases. My real interest however lies in neuroscience, particularly neurodegeneration, an interest which stemmed from my third-year lab project investigating potential therapies for Parkinson’s disease.
The option of a rotation year and the large range of neuroscience projects were two of the main things that attracted me to the DTP. I also love living in London so staying at KCL was an easy decision. I have really enjoyed my first year, both my projects and getting to know others on the programme, and I am now excited to start my PhD.
